Tracy cars are freeway cars. The Interstate 205 and Interstate 5 commute means long freeway miles, bug splatter on the front end and windscreen, and highway grit, and that combination produces a very predictable set of problems.

Fog on the 205 and the 5
From the start of November to the end of March, after the first real rain, tule fog settles across the whole San Joaquin Valley. An early commute out of Tracy in that fog is one of the harder drives in the region, and it is the reason headlight condition matters so much here.
A hazed lens scatters light back at you in fog rather than projecting it forward. Clear lenses and clean glass are a visibility issue on those mornings, not a cosmetic one.
Plan one visit
Tracy is far enough that it is worth doing everything in a single trip. The usual combination is a full detail to clear the baked-on bug film and reset the interior, plus headlight restoration to get the lenses clear before winter.
If you want to reduce the weekly maintenance, paint correction and then a ceramic coating is the pairing that makes the difference, corrected paint protected by a slicker surface releases freeway grime far more easily. Registration due? The auto repair and smog department is on the same lot, so add it to the same visit.
